Security for your web conferences with application sharing
There are multiple security measures to protect your data on their way through the Internet.
Certified security
The Fraunhofer Institute for Secure Information Technology (SIT) approves security of the Application Sharing software.
Verisign-signature
A code signature ensures that you download and use the unchanged original software. The internationally recognized and widespread signature process from Verisign is used in this case.
Server-signature
A signature method also verifies the servers’ authentication. This means that all modules are linked to verified servers. Attacks through manipulated servers or IP spoofing are not possible.
128-bit-encryption
Every application sharing session is encoded in order to prevent manipulations and monitoring of data. The 128-Bit Blowfish algorithm employed in this case corresponds to the SSL Standard regarding security. Your application sharing session is thus at least as secure as online banking.
View direction change with permission only
At the beginning of the Application Sharing session only the guest can view the screen of the host first of all. The guest must explicitly agree with a view direction by pushing a button. This can then be mutually implemented as often as desired with corresponding approval.
Remote control rights with permission only
For each application sharing session only the screen content is initially displayed. No mutual access rights exist. Only when the respective displaying participant allows remote control explicitly by pushing a button, can his or her PC be remote-controlled. Since all remote control actions are also represented on the remote-controlled system, the user can monitor all activities and revoke the remote control permission in case of emergency by means of F12 or by mouse click.
Selection option of the visible applications
Both the visitor and the host can stipulate which applications should be transmitted during the web conference. It can thus be defined which applications your counterpart may view. Naturally, blanked out applications cannot be remote-controlled either.
Secure file transfer
If files are transmitted by means of file transfer between the application sharing participants, the transfer is not implemented until after the consent of the receiver has been obtained. The files received are generally stored on the desktop. In this way, no files can be slipped in to the application sharing user without being noticed.
Breaking off at any time by mouse click or function key
The remote access can be deactivated with only one mouse click or by using the F12 key. The screen view and the application sharing session can also be ended immediately with one mouse click only.
With ending the application sharing session your PC is again in its initial status. No changes are implemented on the guest computer (such as registry entries). The application sharing module, which is provided via Internet or e-mail, is loaded into the main memory (RAM) only. No installation is carried out.
