Who are our customers? Who uses the www.teleconf.de services?
-
Our customers are companies who provide members of their staff with user access rights to the services. The customers have a contract with the conference provider. They can use the conference services and will be charged for them. As a customer you can grant access rights to as many users as required (e.g. your store or branch managers, project managers, sales staff, marketing director and many more).
What is meant by telephone conferencing?
-
Business Conference intelligently combines the standard telephone network with the Web. The conference is controlled via the Web. However, the telephone calls are made over the telephone network in order to ensure high voice communication quality. A telephone conference based on Business Conference is a "virtual" conference. The conference participants do not have to meet in a "real" conference room. They can actually join the conference from anywhere, as long as they are near a phone.
What are the benefits of telephone conferencing?
-
Telephone conferencing allows you to hold meetings with participants throughout the world. You can spare yourself and your colleagues expensive and time-consuming trips.
What types of conferences are available?
-
Dial-out Conferences and Dial-in Conferences / Anytime Conferences.
What is the difference between a Dial-out Conference, a Dial-in Conference and an Anytime Conference?
-
Under the Dial-in /Anytime conference options participants must dial-in to the conference. They must dial a specific telephone number and enter an access coder in order to get access to a specific conference room. If a dial-in conference has been set up, participants are provided with the date and time to dial-in. If an Anytime Conference has been set up, participants can dial-in at any time. Under the dial-out conference option the telephone conferencing system dials all participants and connects them to the conference.
What are the pros and cons of the different types of conferencing?
-
Participants must be provided with the access code to be able to join Dial-in Conferences / Anytime Conferences. Under the Dial-in Conference option all participants meet at an appointed time whereas Anytime Conferences allow participants to dial-in at any time. This procedure does not apply to Dial-out Conferences because under this option the system dials the participants and connects them to the conference. The conference initiator must bear the entire dial-out conference cost whereas for Dial-in Conferences / Anytime Conferences the fees are shared among the participants.
What does the Dial-in Conference / Anytime Conference service cost?
-
Since the participants dial-in to the conference, each participant pays his/her telephone fees based on the telephone network he/she uses (mobile, land-line). The conference initiator pays the costs for the conference itself. Fill in a contact form at www.teleconf.de to get detailed information about the current rates.
What does a Dial-out Conference service cost?
-
The system calls the participants. They therefore do not have to pay for the conference service. It is the conference initiator who bears all costs relating to the telephone conference flat rates for each participant and the conference duration for each participant's telephone line. Fill in a contact form at www.teleconf.de to get detailed information about the current rates.
What is meant by web conferencing?
-
Web Conferences are telephone conferences extended with an extra feature that allows all participants to show their presentation to the other guests or to share any type of application with them (Online Collaboration).
What is meant by Online Collaboration?
-
All conference participants can jointly use any type of (Windows) application by means of Online Collaboration (also known as Application Sharing, Desktop Sharing or E-Collaboration). This option allows users to jointly create and edit documents, to discuss and re-design plans and drafts, and to provide employees throughout the organisation with training courses covering topics and updates on new software releases. And no employee, customer or project partner will have to leave his or her desk in order to participate in the meeting. The moderator defines the participants’ control rights for the shared application.
What are the benefits of integrated Online Collaboration?
-
Business Conference with integrated Online Collaboration combines the advantages of telephone conferences via "standard" telephone lines and the joint use of any (Windows) application: one system, one access, one password. It helps users save time and money because they need no special hardware (only a telephone, a Windows PC with a browser and access to the Internet) or training to use the application sharing option.
Do I have to attend a training course for Business Conference with integrated presentation and online collaboration options?
-
Business Conference with integrated presentation and online collaboration options is designed to be operated via a Web browser. All features ensure intuitive operation. An illustrated quick start guide describes and illustrates how to use most of the Conference features. There is no training required.
